Job talks about the value of wisdom

In Job chapter 28, Job talks about the value of wisdom. He explains that people can search deep inside the earth for gold, silver, and precious stones, but true wisdom cannot be found that way.

Job describes how miners dig deep underground. They search through rocks and dark places to find valuable treasures.

People work hard to discover gold, silver, iron, sapphires, and other precious stones hidden in the earth.

Although people are skilled at finding treasures, Job says that true wisdom is much more valuable than gold, silver, pearls, or jewels.

No amount of money can buy wisdom because it is not something people can discover by themselves.

Job asks, "Where can wisdom be found?" He explains that no person knows where it comes from.

Even the birds flying high in the sky and the animals on the earth do not know where true wisdom is found.

Only God knows the way to wisdom because He created the whole world. He knows everything about the earth, the seas, the winds, and the rain.

God understands how everything works because He made it all.

At the end of the chapter, Job gives the answer to his question. He says, "The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding."

This means that true wisdom begins with loving, respecting, and obeying God. A wise person chooses to do what is right and stays away from sin.

This chapter teaches us that wisdom is more valuable than riches. The wisest people are those who love God, obey Him, and choose to do what is right.
